These pictures are of a side by side comparison of a Copper and Kastanie. The original Copper Corn Snake was a wild caught male from Florida and was bred with females collected from the same area. The offspring were bred back to the original copper proving the copper trait to be simple recessive. Our Kastinie was purchased from Frank Schaub in Germany to insure that we had the original German bloodline. The only way to prove if these snakes are the same genetic morph is to breed them together, which we will be doing this season.
